25 Dollars Reward.
RUN away from the Subscriber some time since, a negro fellow named DIVER, about 40 years of age, 5 feet 10 or 11 inches high, very black, stout well set, and has a very domineering manner of conducting himself when among those of his colour, chews tobacco to excess, and is extremely fond of spirits. He was formerly the property of the late Captain Samuel Butler, of Edenton, of whom I purchased him. He is a good sawyer, pretty well acquainted with hewing the broad-axe, and can do tolerable good work at the carpenter's business. --I expect he has by some means procured a free pass, and is lurking about among his relations; having a mother in Nansemond County, Virginia, and a brother in Durant's-Neck, the property of a Mr. Doals or Noals, mill-wright; or, in the lower part of the Pasquotank County, near the shingle-Swamp.--I will give the above reward and all reasonable expences to any person who bring said fellow to me, on the banks of Chowan river, 13 miles from Edenton, or secure him in any gaol so that I get him again.
