3 Cents Reward. Ran away from my employment, last Saturday, the 14th, a bound boy named James Phipps, about 20 years of age. I took him when a very unlikely looking brat, and just as he came to an age when he might have compensated me for the bread and meat and clothes he destroyed and for my instructions in a useful trade, he has without provocation taken it in head to leave. All persons are warned against harboring him, under the legal penalty for such offence. [sic] The above reward will be reluctantly paid for his return to me.
