We offer a safe, confidential space in which to explore our feelings and understandings about the GLBT experience, especially "coming out" and what this means to families' and other loved ones. Listen and share, as much or as iiille as you fee! comfortable with, knowing that others can understand. Welcome especially to our returning members whose love is so healing. Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) promotes the health and well- being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy; to end discrimination and secure equal civil rights. PFLAG provides an opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. PFLAG Greensboro August meeting Tuesday, August 21 7:30 p.m. Friendship Friends Meeting House 1103 New Garden Road Greensboro, NC News from GSAFE (Gay Straight Advocates for Education) Guilford County Schools is printing enough "In Tiiis Classroom" signs for one to be displayed in each classroom. Living Out Loud means a little something different for each person, Living Out Loud is the expression of a person to live life as you want and to be free to be your self with the freedom to express your self fully. With out the freedom to be oneself then there is no freedom for anyone. Come Out and join Triad Pride and enjoy the fun and festival from start to end There will be at rally at Festival Park in downtown Greensboro on Saturday (Aug. 25) from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. with speakers and entertainment, including the Triad Pride Chorus. On Sunday there will be a family picnic at Oka Hester Park (11:30 am. to 2 p.m.—for $2 per person). Friday night there will be Green Queen Bingo (Regency Room, South Elm Street, Downtown Greensboro, Guilford Green Foundation, 7 pm until 10 pm.). In addition, the festival will include special events at Triad bars and clubs each night, concluding with Sunday night's Mr. & Miss Triad Pride Pageant at Warehouse 29.
