| Description | This scrapbook, created by Marjorie Craig between 1915 and 1919, contains material relating to Craig's student experience at the State Normal and Industrial College (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). This commercially-produced scrapbook is annotated throughout, and contains many items relating to campus life, including photographs, class song lyrics from 1919, suffrage song lyrics, ephemera relating to the Adelphian Literary society, toasts for the Senior Farewell Banquet, a State Normal and Industrial College meal ticket, a 1917 Field Day ribbon, and programs for "Cavalleria Rusticana" and "Patriotic Demonstration." Further contents include ephemera related to the Patriotic League, which was promoted by the Junior War Work Council. Photographs depict the 1918 May Day pageant, students in their class sweaters, and Luther Hodges. |
