THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
September 16, 1985
I send my hearty congratulations to The Beaux Arts
Trio on your 30th anniversary, and I am happy to
join those commending your artistry at the Indiana
University celebrations.
Menahem Pressler, pianist for the trio, Isidore
Cohen, violinist, and Bernard Greenhouse, cellist,
have a rare capacity to work together as one, and
to create art from partnership. You have greatly
enriched the cultural life of our nation, through
your individual talents and through your 30 years
of performing as the Beaux Arts Trio.
Nancy joins me in sending our warmest personal
regards and in wishing you the best on this
anniversary and for the many years of achievement
and fulfilment that lie ahead.
