Description
Martin's caught this snow scene at the Keeley Institute on February 27, 1952. A sanitarium, or hospital for alcoholics and drug addicts, Keeley was located at present-day Blandwood from 1897 until it closed in 1961, Under the early directorship of William H. Osborn, and later his wife and brother-in-law, Keeley treated patients from across the United States and around the world. Osborn became the first commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service in 1913.
