Working Hard.
In a little more than four weeks
the Democratic primaries will be held
in Guilford county, and as the time
draws nearer the candidates work all
the harder. So far the campaign has
been free of bitterness, apparently the
best of feeling prevailing among the
candidates for the various offices.
There appears to be but little doubt
that a second primary will be neces-sary
for several of the nominations,
for, with the number of good men in
the race, it seams highly improbable
that nominations for alt the offices
