Greeusboro was almost overwhelmed with grief Monday morning at the an-nouncement of the death of Mrs. Mar-garet Gleun Scott, one of the beloved daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Tyre Glenn and wife of Dr. Charles L. The death augel had hovered at her bedside for two or three days seemingly hesi-tating before blotting out the sweet young life that hung in the balauce, but the blow to the family and friends was none the less severe. Few young people have enjoyed the measure of love and esteem bestowed on Mrs. Scott. It seems but a short time yet three years have passed since she be-came the bride of Dr. Scott. The love-liness and grace of her early youth con-tinued to develop in her uew relation-ship, the added duties of motherhood bringing out characteristics that in-creased the universal esteem in which she was held. Yet the grave closed over her on the twenty-first anniver-sary of her birth, aud only a blessed memory (ills the aching hearts of tnose to whom she was neatest and dearest. The receipts on our market tor the past week have been light again owiug to the extreme bad weather which has prevailed throughout the entire week. We were, however, very much sur-prised to see good size sales last Satur-day and agaiu on yesterday. We can hardly see how so many farmers man-age to get their tobacco in shape for market to give us these good sales. The quality of the tobacco remains in keeping with the previous offerings in this season and prices on all grades are fully as high as they have been at any time duriug the present season. We regard this the best time to sell tobacco that you will likely get In this crop and would advise our friends to take advantage of the market and sell all the tobacco they can in the very near future. Our buyers seem to be more anxious for the weed than they have been at any time within the past two mouths aud are now willing to pay you outside prices for all of your to-bacco. R. 8. love and esteem bestowed on Mrs.
Scott. It seems but a short time yet
three years have passed since she be-came
the bride of Dr. Scott. The love-liness
and grace of her early youth con-tinued
to develop in her uew relation-ship,
the added duties of motherhood
bringing out characteristics that in-creased
the universal esteem in which
she was held. Yet the grave closed

GREENSBORO TOBACCO MARKET.
MARKET REPORT.
The receipts on our market tor the
past week have been light again owiug
to the extreme bad weather which has
prevailed throughout the entire week.

to see good size sales last Satur-day

The quality of the tobacco remains in
keeping with the previous offerings in
this season and prices on all grades are
fully as high as they have been at any
time duriug the present season. We
regard this the best time to sell tobacco
that you will likely get In this crop
and would advise our friends to take
advantage of the market and sell all
the tobacco they can in the very near
future. Our buyers seem to be more
anxious for the weed than they have
been at any time within the past two
mouths aud are now willing to pay
you outside prices for all of your to-bacco.
