Buchanan, who has been with a railroad construction com-pany in Tennessee for several months, will return home in a few days and locate with his mother on her farm a ,lllloWH: Damage Suit Growing Out of a Telegraph Company's Error. The daily papers of Thursday said that.the peculiar misconception and misreading of a message sent from the telegraph Wiee at Salisbury by an operator of the Western Cniou on the line between there and High Point some time ago, gave rise to a heart-rending scene in High Point recently, and a suit for damages will grow out of it. Messrs. Wescott Roberson, of High Point, and J. A. Barringer, of < ireensboro, have the case in hand, and announce that a suit will be brought a.;raiust the Western Union, based on mental harassment growing out of liegligenceofthecompany. MARKET REPORT. The receipts on our market for the past week were (juiie heavy, owing to the soft weather, which brought farm-ers to (ireensboro from almost every section of the country. Prices on ail common and medium grades made a gradual decline until Saturday, when they showed some signs of slillening up, and on Monday and Tuesday of this week they were right much better than they were last week. The quali-ty of the offerings was of a good work-ing tobacco and lots of good tillers and common to medium wrappers were offered. There were also some good to fine wrappers sold during the week, with lots of them crossing the $:!0.im mark and some of them selling as high as $46.00 per hundred. Damage Suit Growing Out of a Telegraph
Company's Error.
The daily papers of Thursday said
that.the peculiar misconception and
misreading of a message sent from the
telegraph Wiee at Salisbury by an
operator of the Western Cniou on the
line between there and High Point
some time ago, gave rise to a heart-rending
scene in High Point recently,
and a suit for damages will grow out
of it. Messrs. Wescott Roberson, of
High Point, and J. A. Barringer, of
< ireensboro, have the case in hand,
and announce that a suit will be brought
a.;raiust the Western Union, based on
mental harassment growing out of
liegligenceofthecompany. The amount
of damages they will claim has not been
given out. But the facts, as the com-plaint

MARKET REPORT.
The receipts on our market for the
past week were (juiie heavy, owing to
the soft weather, which brought farm-ers
to (ireensboro from almost every
section of the country. Prices on ail
common and medium grades made a
gradual decline until Saturday, when
they showed some signs of slillening
up, and on Monday and Tuesday of
this week they were right much better
than they were last week. The quali-ty
of the offerings was of a good work-ing
tobacco and lots of good tillers and
common to medium wrappers were
offered. There were also some good to
fine wrappers sold during the week,
with lots of them crossing the $:!0.im
mark and some of them selling as high
as $46.00 per hundred.
Present prices on common and me-dium
grades are not as high as they
were about four weeks ago, yet they |
