Officers
The purpose of the Foundation is to further the goals of the
NORTH CAROLINA MEDICAL SOCIETY AUXILIARY HEALTH
EDUCATION FOUNDATION and increase its long-term impact.
Some past uses of Foundation funds include.
1. EDUCATION
a. Annually fund two UNC-G Nursing Scholarships
b. Annually fund an allied health scholarship
c. Annual State Student Loan contribution
d. Annual American Medical Association Education
and Research Fund contribution
2. COMMUNITY HEALTH
a. Sponsor Substance Abuse Seminar in conjunction
with the Junior League "FACE IT" Project
b. Sponsor Osteoporosis Seminar in conjunction
with Humana Hospital
c. Provide funding for Hospice of Greensboro, Inc.
and the Greensboro Diabetic Association thru the
Medical Society/Auxiliary Endowment Fund
d. Funded pilot program for TEENS TAKING CHARGE in
the Greensboro City Schools
e. Contributions to John Umsted Hospital
The NCMSA HEALTH EDUCATION FOUNDATION is organized
as a not-for-profit charitable organization so that contributions
are tax deductible.
The GREENSBORO HEALTH EDUCATION FOUNDATION is an
affiliate of the NORTH CAROLINA MEDICAL SOCIETY AUXIL-
ARY HEALTH EDUCATION FOUNDATION.

Supply funding for CAMP CAREFREE,
for children with cancer and other chrc
abilities and to continue our communit
projects.
