AUXILIARY TO.THE GUILFORD COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY GREENSBORO BRANCH
JANUARY MEETING RESCHEDULED
Since the January meeting was
• postponed because of inclement weather, we will meet on February 6 at
11:45 at the Carriage House. Our
speaker will be Mr. Marshall Abee, executive director of the Community Healtr
Services, who will explain the services
and functions of his agency. At this
time, also, we will present Mr. Abee
Ma check for $1,055 for the Sick Room
Equipment Loan Closet.
DRUG ALXILIARY INVITATION
Mrs. Briggs Cook, program chairman of the Greensboro Drug Auxiliary,
has invited members of our auxiliary
to join hers in attending a production
of Janua at the Barn Dinner Theater.
It will be held on Tuesday, February
27. Luncheon will be served from 12:00
to 1:00 and the performance will begin at 1:30. Tickets are $4.50 per
person. In order to have this performance, seventy-five reservations must
be made, so if you are interested in
joining the Drug Auxiliary, please
call Mrs. Cook at 28P-4640. Guests
are also welcome.

Those of you who have annual reports should have them completed and

SOAP PROJECT
Since we didn't get to bring
our soap on January 16th, please A
bring it to our February 6th meeting,
This is urgently needed by the Inter-
national Health Service. Irma Lyday will collect for this.
FAMILY IIFE INSTITUTE
Jean Hambright has represented
the auxiliary at several meetings
that have been held to discuss family
life with attention to such considerations as family planning, sex education in the schools and several
others. A Family Life Institute is
being planned which will be held in
Greensboro and our auxiliary has been
asked to join wi th other groups in
sponsoring this workshop. At its
January 10th meeting, the hoard
passed a resolution to do so. A full
membership vote will be required so
we ask you to be prepared to vote at
our February 6th meeting.
