Dear Ms Mixon:
It gives me great pleasure to present you with this Service Award in recognition of more than
thirty-seven years of employment with the U.S. Postal Service.
When you look back over your career, you should be especially proud of your hard work
and dedication in gaining a solid foundation in both operations and human resources
Your selection into the postal career executive service as the Field Director, Human Resources.
Northern Virginia Field Division, in May 1991, signified a key accomplishment in your work life
This achievement together with being the recipient of several prestigious awards, such as the
Dot Sharpe Lifetime Achievement Award and the Benjamin Award provided recognition of your
many years of dedicated service.
I was especially pleased to learn also of your recognition as Postmaster of the year in
Greensboro, North Carolina. Postmasters are the backbone of the Postal Service and
when such honor is given, it serves to acknowledge the hard work and long hours.
Thank you for your many years of service and may you have many happy years of retirement.
Sincerely,
/John E. Potter
