Junior Class Plans
Minstrel Show
The minstrel show sponsored by
the junior class is well under way
and rehearsals have been scheduled. Ray Chalkley and Andrew
Hughes are directing the production assisted by Reva Watson,
Marty Burton and Arnold Leary.
The show will be given on Friday, March 19, at 7:30 P.M. in
Duke Memorial Hall.
Andrew Hughes is to be the interlocutor. Endmen are Willis
Maier, Rastus; Ted McEachern,
Sunflower; Arnold Leary, Light-
nin; Mack Privott, Snowball.
There will be speciality acts by
Ren Raker, Don Precise, Anne
Newton, Retty Humble, Reverly
Smith, Ray Chalkley, Rob Isko-
witz, Reva Watson and Tod Miku-
riya.
The chorus line, led by Janice
Corneilson, will include Katy Shu-
maker, Marion Gravitt, Marie
Hazard, Joyce Pate, Martha
Teague, Trilby Tucker, Gerry
Price, Janet Jay and Jennie Smith.
Kip Hale and Don Precise are in
charge of lighting. Jan Corneilson
and John Church, publicity; Marie
Rrewer and Rachel Grogan, properties; Marie Hazard, makeup;
Phyllis Redman and Ruth Dobbins, tickets. Rob Szatkowski is
stage manager for the production,
One of the highlights of the
event will be the dance numbers by
Guilford's brother and sister team,
Les and Emily Warrick.
The remainder of the junior
class will assist the cast in the form
of a chorus. The faculty adviser is
Dean Ljung.
The purpose of the show is to
raise funds for the annual junior-
senior banquet to be given in the
spring. Admission will be 35 cents.
