Dear Mr. Moore:
Enclosed please find a notice of appeal or in the alternative a motion to intervene on behalf of certain individual
students at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
These students object to the use of student activity fees to
support an organization which they believe to be discriminatory.
The purpose of their intervention and/or appeal is to bring
their particular interests in the issue to the Board of Trustees.
I am sure you are concerned about time, and I can assure
you as the attorney for these individuals and also for the
Student Senate that there will be no different or more extended
proof caused by their appeal or intervention. Indeed, about
the only significant effect of their intervention on the case
would be the addition of a statement that certain individuals
are also participating in the appeal because they object to the
allocation of student activity fees to an organization which
they believe to be discriminatory. I am sure that no additional
time will be involved.
At the appropriate time, I feel sure that you or the Board
of Trustees will consider the status of the intervention and/or
appeal of these individuals.
Sincerely yours
Aw^li. k dvJt
