A WORKING CONTRACT FOR FOOD SERVICE EMPLOYEES TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
■»1. Working hours Tor each employee for a five (5)-day, forty (liO)-hour
work week for full-time employees.
2. An absolute minimum wage of $1.80 per hour in a five (5)-day work week.
3. Place on contract that this will be revised as of September 1, 1°69.

[h'J Time-and one-half for all work over forty (UO) hours per week in a five
(5)-day work week for full-time employees.
(5 A One (1) day per month for sick leave, accumulative for the duration of
\^ employment with full pay and three (3) days for death in family.
/o. \ Vacation with pay at the rate of one and one-half (l^g) days per month,
^o*^ accumulative for the duration of employment.
il\ All holidays with full pay.
Automatic review every four and one half (hh) months periodic pay raises.
£. A minimum of 30 minutes forlunch each day and same for other meals served.
10. Severance notices no less than fifteen (15) days in advance with a full
-^ explanation and hearing for those employees who wish to appeal or challenge
r the reasons for such severance. These employees must be retained with full
pay while the appeal is pending and until action on the severance notice has
been finalized.
11. Clear channels of communication must be opened between non-management and
supervisory personnel.
III. NO FOOD SERVICE EMPLOYEE WILL 3E DISMISSED BY ARA SLATER CATERING SERVICE
AT UNC-G DURING THE COURSE OF THIS ACTION OR A^IY OTHER TIME WITHOUT PROVEN
JUSTIFICATION. NO EMPLOYEE OF ARA SLATER CATERING SERVICE WILL BE OTHERWISE HARASSED OR INTIMIDATED BY AN MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL.
IV. THESE DEMANDS MUST BE MET AS SOON ASPOSSIBLE BUT NO LATER THAN IMMEDIATELY.
