Resolution authorizing the city superintendent of schools to make certain temporary assignments of children to schools

              A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS TO MAKE
CERTAIN TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENTS OF CHILDREN TO SCHOOLS FOR THE SCHOOL
YEAR 1957-58
RESOLVED BY THE GREENSBORO CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION THAT:
FIRST. The resolution adopted by this Board May 21, 1957, entitled, "A
Resolution Relating To The Assignment For The School Year 1957-58 Of Children
Not Now In The Greensboro Schools11, is hereby rescinded.
SECOND. The city superintendent of schools is hereby authorized to make a
temporary assignment of the following:
(1) Any child entitled to attend, and who desires to attend, the
schools of the Greensboro City Administrative Unit, and who has not
been previously assigned by this Board.
(2) Any child who has been assigned by this Board to a school for the
school year 1957-58, and whose residence within the Greensboro City
Administrative Unit has been changed since his previous school enrollment or assignment, or whose residence within the Greensboro City Ad*
ministrative Unit is hereafter changed before the end of the 1957-58
school year.
THIRD. The city superintendent of schools shall promptly report each such
temporary assignment to this Board in order that this Board may make a permanent assignment, and when such permanent assignment is made the parent or
guardian of such child, or the person standing in loco parentis to such child,
shall be promptly notified in writing of such permanent assignment.
