Throughout the 1950 Guilford College yearbook, The Quaker, there are photos of Japanese, Hawaiian, and American Indian women of color. These individual and club photos and their descriptions reflect the involvement of these women and their reception on campus. Included are students: Eleanore "Elly" Corneilson, named to the list of Who's Who in American Colleges, Anne Isonaga, Chizu Watanabe, and Jennie Chu. The accomplishments and involvement of these women was crucial to building race relations on the Guilford campus.
