Dear Elizabeth:
¥e were pleased and thrilled to read
in tonight's paper of the demonstration of
your concern for the American and Christian
principles of justice, equality, freedom and
human rights. These are basic Constitutional
guarantees to all American citizens. They
will be preserved and extended only as concerned individuals determine that they
shall be.
You have put your stubborn ounces in
the balance. The price may be high. We
cannot help much with the ostracism and
criticism which may come to you; but if you
are fined, please let us have the privilege
of helping you to pay it.
Sincerely yours,
