Alumnae News, Alumni News, and UNCG Magazine
Alumnae News was first published in January, 1912, by the Alumnae Association of the State Normal and Industrial College (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Julia Dameron was the first Literary Editor. In July, 1964, shortly after UNCG became a coeducational institution, the name was changed to Alumni News to reflect the new composition of the student body. The magazine ceased publication with the Spring, 1998, issue and was merged with another publication, UNCG Graduate, creating UNCG Magazine which is still published today.
State Normal Magazine and Coraddi
Starting with its first issue on March 15, 1897, State Normal Magazine was a quarterly publication primarily concerned with presenting news about the State Normal and Industrial College (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro). Renamed Coraddi in 1919, the magazine became primarily a literary and fine arts publication and remains so to the present day. Now in its 113th year, Coraddi is a student publication which, according to its Fall 2010 issue "represents the art and literary community of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro."
All issues of Alumnae News and Alumni News from 1912 to 1998, and all issues of State Normal Magazine and Coraddi from 1897 to 1999 are now available in this online archive. Newer issues will be added in the coming months and on an ongoing basis.
