Description	This letter from the English teacher Elisabeth Bowles from the Curry School to Miss M. Hood lists all the students and whether or not they were ill. Those that died during the typhoid epidemic are indicated by their death date. Check marks indicate whether a student intends to return to school. Some comments are included. Eight or nine students died : Ada Ader on 12/3/1899 from Reedy, Davidson County Pattie Babbitt on 12/6/1899 from New Berne, Craven County Evelyn B.
