This station os licensed to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro by the Federal Communications Commission. Its operation has been entrust~r ~? the University sn:~~nts .by the Un~versity administration. Purpose of WUAG A. To provide progranuning entertairunent for the student body of UNC Greensboro and the cqmnuni ty; to infonn the student boby of events and happenings pertaining to them; and to provide experience in working with the media of radio. B. To be continually aware of the desires of its listening audience. C. To bear in mind responsibilities incurred under the Rules and Regulations of the FCC, all federal, state and local statutes and all codes and policies of the University and the University lvfedia Board. Membership of WUAG A. Staff members shall either be enrolled at UNC-G or have approval by 2/3 vote of WUAG's Executive Board. ~. Staff members shall be selected for each department of WUAG according to previous experience, desire to work, and compatibility with existing standards of operation. C. Staff members of each department shall be selected by the director/ manager of the department for which they wish to work. D. Staff members may be removed by 2/3 vote of the Executive Board. E. If at any time the continued presence of a staff member is considered detrimental to station operations, or in violation of fecleral, state or local statutes, or in violation of University and/or University ~dia Board codes and policies, the staff member in question may be dismissed by the department director/manager, the Program nirector, the r..enera:L Manager or the Executive Board. F. Staff members shall be selected without regard for race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex or handicap of the applicant. G. WUAG requires no dues of its members, has no requirements concerning class standings of its members and shall have-no academic, political, racial or religious affliations. Departmental Heads of WUAG, Qualifications and Duties A. General Manager 1. The General Manag~~~ ~ha]l p~esponsible for conducting l~AG's official business with th-e;:Om:if~t~i tY' s administration, :J ' _: the cormumi ty at large, and shall be the official representative in all matters pertaining to the station. 2. The Genera chosen in April of each year by the Executive Board. Th ard must consent to the selectionor 91ve... r-ea...son 3. The General Manager shall serve as the representative to the University Media Board. 4. The General .Manager shall appoint the directors/managers of each department and the Business ~1anager.
