Dearest Mother and Daddy," Received your letter today written June 1st and it made me so happy to get the other telegram that Louis sent. I'll bet he's back in the States by this time. I hope he is.
Well, Daddy, Sunday is Father's Day, and I hope you have the nicest day. I know it will be a happy one because of the fact that you know your son is on his way back to the States, and may be back there to help you celebrate Father's Day. Wouldn't that be wonderful? Anyway, Happy Father's Day to the swellest Dad on earth. I know this won't get to you until after Sunday, but the wish is just the same.
Vivian and one of the other girls is playing cribbage to-night. That's a card game, for two thank goodness, because I want to write letters.
I had a letter from Mom Parish to-day, and she sent me this picture. The two boys with them are the ones who were always over at their house like I was. Thought you might like to see my S.F. family. Smitty, Dago, and I used to feel almost brothers and sister. We had fun, though.
Not much news of things going on around here. I'm still very busy on my ward. We keep a full house most of the time- 93 patients.
I haven't heard from Jay since he left. But I imagine he is pretty busy getting reassigned and everything.
Well, I guess it's good-night now. I'm still looking and hoping for a letter from Louis.
