Dearest Mother and Daddy," I received your letter yesterday that you wrote May 24th, and of course I was glad to hear from you. But every day now I keep looking for a letter from Louis. I just wonder if he's back in the States yet. I hope so, but I know he will be disappointed and unhappy to find that I'm over here. I sure wish I could be there to see my darling when he returns.
I was off duty at 2 P.M. and I went out to the hospital to see Vivian. She is doing fine and hopes to be out in a couple of days. Sure hope so, because I've really missed her. Being here in the tent all by myself is pretty lonely. But I have my radio, and you know me- as long as I have that, I'm as contented as I can be. During the week they only have programs 6:30-8:30 A.M., 11 A.M.-1 P.M., and from 4 P.M. to 11 P.M., and one Sunday from 11 A.M-11 P.M. So I enjoy it mostly in the evening.
Nancy Archibald sure had a ""snazzy"" wedding, didn't she?
There isn't much news -nothing exciting- besides the War. We are still as busy as ever here at the hospital- casualties, etc. Last night we had 840 patients and we are supposed to be only a 400 bed hospital. So you can just imagine what we are up against.
This is only one of our church bulletins I'm enclosing. The picture on the front is our Chapel. It's made of palm leaves and bamboo poles. It's very quaint. I went to Church this morning.
Well, I guess this is all for now, so I'll say good night now.
