Dearest Mother and Daddy,"" Well, here I am sitting just out front of my tent trying to keep cool. The heat is still terrific. I would give anything to get back to a cold climate just once more. I have[n't] felt any real cold weather since the last time I was at home.
I received a letter from you all on the 8th that was written the 30th. It's always so good to hear from home and to know that all is well. If I could only have some word from Louis.
Also on the 8th, I got two letters and a Christmas card that Louis had written before he was listed as missing. One was a regular letter written Nov. 18, the other a V-Mail written Dec 1st in Germany. The Christmas card was dated Nov. 28th. All of them went to Camp Stoneman.
We are not quite as busy as we were for a while. Even though we still have plenty to do.
I got a letter from Aunt Bess to-day, written Feb. 1st.
There isn't much other news, but I keep hoping and praying to God that we will have some good news about Louis very soon.
