Dearest Mother and Daddy,"" It's been several days since I wrote to you. In fact I think it was last Monday. But you know I told you then about the infection in my left eye. Well it went over and I got in my right eye. So I couldn't see to write very well. I was in quarters for 3 days putting ice packs on them and ointment. Then, last Wednesday we moved out here to our hospital area from town.
But my eyes are alright now and I'm back at work in full sway. Sure am glad I didn't have to go to the hospital. I'm still going to the Clinic every day to have them looked at.
How do you like my stationary? This is my Christmas present from Margaret and I got it March 8th. Better late than never. The box was rather battered up but the paper is O.K.
We have had very little mail in the past few days, and the last I had from you all was a letter last Tuesday. Maybe some will come in to-day. I'm so anxious to know if you've had any more word about Louis. It seems so long, and it's so hard just waiting. I hope we'll hear some good news soon. I keep praying to God every day that he is alright. He's got to be.
We're living in tents again and ours has about 4 leaks. But as long as it drips around things it's alright. Right now it is pouring down rain.
Vivian and I have a tent together and we're getting it fixed up pretty good. Wish I could take a picture of the inside. I'm also using my radio too. Of course all we get is transcribed rebroadcasts, but that's as good as anything. Last night I heard The Great Gildersleeve, and the Amos and Andy Show. I heard Kay Kyser the other night. they have news broadcasts, locally.
Well, I guess this is all for now. By the way, send me some of that stationary like you're using. It's nice. Hope all is well at home.
