Dearest Mother and Daddy," Well, here we are on our way, and since I've completely recovered from my sea-sickness I think I can settle down to writing.
Of course there isn't too much that I can say, but I know just a few words to let you know that all's well with me.
We certainly have swell accommodations here on this ship. There are four of us to a compartment with a private bath. And the food is simply grand- since I've been able to eat it.
I was a little under the weather for the first couple of days out, but it wasn't nearly as bad this time as it was before. In face I think I'm getting to be a pretty good sailor, and I hope the next trip back will be the last one.
It's rumored that we will get mail today, some that was brought on board with us. I hope we will because it will certainly help to boost up my morale.
There doesn't seem to be much other news.
I forgot to tell you that just before leaving the States I had a letter from Louis telling me about his promotion. He made it on Dec. 3rd. Also there is a little change in his address. It's Co ""I"" instead of Co ""K"" He's with the 84th Division, which is fighting with the 9th U.S. Army in Germany.
Well, I'll say so long for now. Will write again soon.
