Burlington
Reveals Plan
For Facility
Burlington Industries, Inc., recently announced plans for a large
new textile research center near
Greensboro, representing an investment of almost $2 million, at a
Chamber-sponsored luncheon at
Greensboro Country Club.
Charles F. Myers, Jr., Burlington
President, made the announcement
of the 72,000-square foot research
facility.
The Burlington research center
will be constructed on a 40-acre site
a few miles west of Greensboro. The
center will front on Interstate High-

Division
Will Expand
J. P. Stevens & Co., Inc., recently
announced a new 24,500-square foot
facility for its Computer Business
Forms Company Division at a
Chamber-sponsored luncheon at
the Starmount Country Club.
W. C. (Scrappy) Gay, Controller
of the Synthetics Division of Stevens, announced the new facility
which will represent an investment
of over one-half million dollars.
The new plant for Stevens specialized business printing will be
located on a 4.3-acre site near the
Pinecroft Road-Interstate Highway
85 interchange. The Computer
plant will be situated on Phoenix
Drive.

mailed to the membership of the
Greensboro Chamber of Commerce
for the election of six new members
to the Board of Directors. The ballots will be tallied on Tuesdav, Dec.
1.
