N O V^ V Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays po box4153 GREENSBORO, NC 27404 PHONE (910) 852-8489 Vol. 6 No.8, August, 1999 TOM TAKES ON NEWSLETTER Once again I had a need and one of you answered. Tom, who has done so much for many organizations, will take on my part of the newsletter. We'll work together at first to insure a smooth transition. Then he will be responsible for writing the front page, collecting info for the other pages, collating it and having it printed. If you have suggestions to improve the newsletter, please offer them to Tom, and please send clippings, e- mails etc. We need your input. Mitch will still be collecting your addresses and making mailing labels so that Micki and Mac can fix and stuff envelops and get them in the mail to you. As you can see, this is an undertaking. Words can't really express our thanks to these people and all of those who have taken on a little extra work to keep our organization going. If you'd like to volunteer, please do. And don't forget that Quarterly Coordinating Committee (everybody invited) meets in September. We must consider such financial matters as what to do about our grant proposal for Guilford Greene and about dues with National's hike. Well, we missed it again! Donna and I made plans to go to the pool party in Mt. Airy, but on the day found that we could not. I understand that not many of you were there either. Those who were said they had a great time! Let's decide now *n taVp advanta°p of Shelby's generous invitation next July. The taping of "Me, Mama, and Patti La- Belle" went very well with a responsive audience of more than 30.
