Description	Casals left Cracow at 3 in the morning, arrived at 9. He slept well and is very calm. He reread Metcalfe's letter and understood it better this time. Each word of her letter is beautiful "and one follows another so well that I seem to hear one of those beautiful musical works during the whole of which every sound necessarily calls forth the next... I understand what degree of emotion you put into the exteriorization of your feelings by means of your singing, which touches me more than anything else in the world and as much as the music itself. When I hear you it is myself who sings because I feel all the emotion in advance." He is happy to hear that her family likes him. He will probably be making the transatlantic voyage on the Olympic beginning on the 18th of March. He asks her to find him a nice hotel in New York or elsewhere from which he can conveniently visit New Rochelle. "I don't want to schedule any concerts. I've had an interesting proposition for April for a long time now - the cities of the Riviera and some cities in Italy, as far as Palermo in Sicily, but I don't think about it - it's too soon. I will arrange my concerts for May and June according to our plans, and too bad if it is too late. I will have played enough by March 15th!" Postscript: "My itinerary has changed somewhat; here it is starting today..." through March 18th.
