There is disappointment in store for those who would believe that the pro-hibitive restrictions recently author-ized by an overwhelming majority of the voters of Greensboro will become practically inoperative soon after be-ing put into execution. A Law and Order League which has for its avowed purpose the enforcement of the local option law was organized last Wednes-day eveniug with au aggressive mem-bership that is capable of doing effec-tive work in most any sort of au uu-dertakiug. The "sinews of war" are not lacking, as over a thousand dollars was subscribed in a few minutes by those present. Officers of the league for the ensuing year were chosen as follows: President, A. \V.
