Let the Attractions and Rosoureee of Greensboro Be Made Known Throughout the Length and Breadth of the Land. The PARTIOT has undertaken the preparation of an edition that will ap-pear the moat elegant and exhaustive treatise of its kind ever issued in the South. In the building of cities and tbe de-velopment of industries no community can afford to be backward in dissemi-nating its good points. It ia noticeable that the most pro-gressive and prosperous manufactur-ing and trading centres in tbe I nited States are those that .end out the greatest amount of literature, descrip-tive and illustrative of the apportuni-ties they possess for the profitable in-vestment of capital and labor. The history of every newly developed section is prolific with efforts of this kind as the most important factor to their material growth. The vast possibilities of Greensboro have never been properly laid before the world, and it has been decided that our city aud county shall bave a pub-lication, elegant and appropriate, that 'our citizens may feel proud to send abroad and one that will at once at-tract the favorable attention of all to whom it shall come. The PATRIOT will print ten thousand copies of this spe-cial paper. It will embrace about thir-ty pages printed in the finest possible manner on high gradesiipercalemlcred stock; the covers will be illuminated from special design, and the artlolea treated upon will cover thoroughly every subject of principal interest to those who live in this section as well aa those who are looking toward the South. Its pages will he profusely illustrated with half tone engravings of men and things as they appear at the preseut time. This is not to he a paper full of dis-play advertising, but a descriptive and illustrative treatise of Greensboro and its resources with editorials by tbe leading men in every line of trade. The preparation of this edition will require nearly two months labor and a great amount nf expense, but it ia pleasing to note that the work is pro-gressing finely. In this effort the PATRIOT has the unqualified endorsement of every com-mercial organization in the city, and with the liberal patronage of • tie busi-ness interests success will soon be as-sured. —Safs and immediate loans for the following amounts of money can be se-cured by listing your money with the Southern Guaranty and Investment 27d7cre"d bVReVJoseph W/Pe^, o"t (iuilford in the legislature.having been elected to that body soon after the war. OUR INDU8TEJAL AND HISTOR-ICAL
NUMBER.
Let the Attractions and Rosoureee
of Greensboro Be Made Known
Throughout the Length and
Breadth of the Land.
The PARTIOT has undertaken the
preparation of an edition that will ap-pear
the moat elegant and exhaustive
treatise of its kind ever issued in the
South.
In the building of cities and tbe de-velopment
of industries no community
can afford to be backward in dissemi-nating
its good points.
It ia noticeable that the most pro-gressive
and prosperous manufactur-ing
and trading centres in tbe I nited
States are those that .end out the
greatest amount of literature, descrip-tive
and illustrative of the apportuni-ties
they possess for the profitable in-vestment
of capital and labor.
The history of every newly developed
section is prolific with efforts of this
kind as the most important factor to
their material growth.
The vast possibilities of Greensboro
have never been properly laid before
the world, and it has been decided that
our city aud county shall bave a pub-lication,
elegant and appropriate, that
'our citizens may feel proud to send
abroad and one that will at once at-tract
the favorable attention of all to
whom it shall come. The PATRIOT will
print ten thousand copies of this spe-cial
paper. It will embrace about thir-ty
pages printed in the finest possible
manner on high gradesiipercalemlcred
stock; the covers will be illuminated
from special design, and the artlolea
treated upon will cover thoroughly
every subject of principal interest to
those who live in this section as well
aa those who are looking toward the
South.
Its pages will he profusely illustrated
with half tone engravings of men and
things as they appear at the preseut
time.
This is not to he a paper full of dis-play
advertising, but a descriptive and
illustrative treatise of Greensboro and
its resources with editorials by tbe
leading men in every line of trade.
The preparation of this edition will
require nearly two months labor and a
great amount nf expense, but it ia
pleasing to note that the work is pro-gressing
finely.
In this effort the PATRIOT has the
unqualified endorsement of every com-mercial
organization in the city, and
with the liberal patronage of • tie busi-ness
interests success will soon be as-sured.
