It is that the southern farmers, if
they wish to be steadily prosper-ous,
must diversify their crops.
The local money market has been
gorged. The bank deposits and
the surplus reserve constantly tend
higher. The increase in the de- ,
the re- \ posits during the ' week was $12,- '
041,600. The surplus reserve is
$20,020,000. Money is loaning at
nominal rates. The banks have re-duced
\ per cent the interest al-lowed
on the daily balances of cus-tomers
who deposit margins. Quo- |
