Number 2
October 199<
September has been such
a busy month as all our
activities get into top gear
for the fall. We have
welcomed about 40 new
physicians to Greensboro
this year. Their spouses
were introduced at this
year's first general
membership meeting held at
Althea Truesdale's lovely
home. We all thank her for
her hospitality.
Some of these new
members are already hard
at work on various
committees! I should like to
take this opportunity to
recognize Lisa Reid and
Susan Matthews for all
their hard work on the
Sponsor Program this year.
Also thanks are due to
Barbara Lupton and
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Patrice Newman for the super
party welcoming new
physicians. It was a fun
evening.
Susan Beane and Chris
Supple got "Moms & Tots" off
to a great start with a sunny
day lunch picnic at Country
Park, and collected items for
Clara House which this group
will continue to support
throughout the year.
The days get shorter, the air
is cooler and the holidays will
soon be here again. You can get
in the mood at our fourth
annual "A Home For The
Holidays." More details
elsewhere in the newsletter.
An enormously talented
committee has been at work on
this project since early spring.
Their names are listed on page
3. I offer my personal thanks
and the gratitude of the entire
membership for their
dedication and hard work in
producing what is one of the
most professional events on
Greensboro's calendar.
This project benefits our
Health Education Foundation
and through it a variety of
valuable health related
programs in our community.
To make this occasion a success
we need your participation.
You can do this in a number of
ways: Come to the preview
party, tour the house, bring
friends with you (these tickets
make a great pre-holiday gift),
buy raffle tickets, or just make
a donation. By choosing one or
more of these options you are
supporting our theme this year,
"Dedicated to the Health of our
Community."
