DOCTOR'S DAY
Big plans are in the wind for , our
annual doctor's day party, in which we
honor our husbands. Various possibilities
are being considered. If you have any
ideas the Board members will be happy to
hear them.
CONGRATULATIONS!
To Agnes and Lyndon Anthony on the
arrival of a son.
TRIPS TO BUTNER
The monthly parties for patients at
Butner will be continued this year. Baked
goods will be needed, as well as girls to
make the trips. Save your old adult clothing
to be taken along.
Please call Marianne Hertle if you will
be able to help or have any clothes to be
taken. Everyone of us should lend support
to this very worthwhile project.
The Medical Auxiliary Board has voted
to continue sending $25-00 per year to
Wesley Long Hospital as a special thank
you for all the help the hospital has
given to the auxiliary, particularly in
the area of printing. This money is
generally used for purchasing a piece of
needed equipment.
OPERATION DAMN
A special course for teachers on drug
abuse - "Mental Health in the Classroom"
- will begin on Nov. 3rd and continue for
seven weeks. The class will meet each
Monday night from 7-30 to 10:00 in the
annex of the City School Administration
Building. There will be UO teachers
attending.
Anyone wishing to audit any or all of
the classes will be welcome.
FAMILY LIFE COUNCIL
The Fall meeting of the Family Life
Council will be held on October 30th at
8:00 o'clock in the library auditorium.
Dr. James Allen from the Department of
Religion at UNC-CH will be the speaker.

That's all the news for this month.
