THE
AUXILIARY
TO THE
GUILFORD COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY
Greensboro Branch
November 7, 1966
Dear Dr.
The Greensboro Branch of the Guilford County Medical Auxiliary von the
first place award for Community Service among all State Medical Auxiliaries,
Accompanying the honor of this Award is a sum of $100. The money is really a
challenge gift and is to be used as working capital by our Auxiliary to produce
a profit. The money t-to make must be used for a medically related charity in our
own community. The original $100 must be returned to the State Auxiliary by
February 7, 1967, to be won by another Auxiliary at next May's Convention, as a
challenge to someone else and for more charitable purposes.
Our Auxiliary has chosen the Sick Room Equipment Loan Closet at the
Community Health Center as the local charity which would benefit most from our
financial contributions, To make the money we need, we are sponsoring a regular
Greensboro Generals Ice Hockey Game, This will be on Saturday evening, November
26, against the Johnstown Jets. Adult tickets will be $2.50; children $1,00,
Those of you who have seen ice hockey already know the tremendous
excitement and thrills generated by this lightning*fast sport. For those who
have never witnessed this combination of skill and mayhem, we invite you to make
this game your introduction to the national sport of our northern neighbor,
Canada.
Treat your family; treat your staff; take a friend or neighbor.
Remember, each ticket you buy helps your Auxiliary help your community. Let's
get behind this project 100% and enjoy ourselves doing it.
Ask your wife - she has plenty of tickets. Make your plans early.
Sincerely,
^'A
