Employed by Dr. Maureen Jarrell SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT... We are pleased to announce that Roger P. Saunders, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, will be joining Wesley Long effective July 1, 1995. Mr. Saunders took early retirement from the military after 15 years of service and received his PNP certification in 1983 while in the military. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1979 and his Masters in Nursing Administration from UNC-G in 1989. Mr. Saunders is married and has three children; Aaron - 13, Todd - 11, and Amy - 7. His wife teaches school where they currently live in El Paso, Texas. They will be relocating to Greensboro this summer. We are excited about the service that Mr. Saunders will provide to the physicians practicing at Wesley Long. A welcome reception for you to meet him once he has settled here will be arranged. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome back to North Carolina. CONGRATULATIONS.... Dr. Jim Maxwell has been elected as the President of the North Carolina chapter of the American College of Radiology. This is an organization of over 600 radiologists in North Carolina. Dr. Maxwell also serves as chairman of the Audit Committee and as a consultant to the Finance Committee of the North Carolina Medical Society. He is also the radiology representative to the Carrier Advisory Committee to Medicare in North Carolina. Dr. Maxwell is the Chief Executive Officer of Guilford Radiology Associates, which provides radiology services to Wesley Long Community Hospital, Carolina MRI, and Diagnostic Radiology and Imaging. DTC Has New Outpatient Referral Forms The Diabetes Treatment Center has new outpatient referral forms. The new form asks for a brief medical history and recent lab work. When completed correctly, calls to the physician's office should be reduced. The new forms will be delivered or sent to offices by June 30th. Please destroy any old DTC referral forms and begin using the new forms immediately. REMINDER... The Annual Medical/Dental Staff meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 24, 1995 at the Downtown Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center, Greensboro. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m., Business Meeting at 7:00 p.m. Please mark your calendars.
