The week of April 16- 22 has been set aside to recognize the contribution of these medical professionals in the health care industry. The national theme this year is "The Lab Professional: A Key Member of the Health Care Team." This encompasses not only professionals in hospital laboratory settings, but also physician offices and reference laboratories. As members of the health care team, our phlebotomists and technologists provide diagnostic results, transfusion and pathology services, and support to other hospital disciplines. During this week, each section of the laboratory welcomes you to drop by and observe our processes. Feel free to ask any questions pertaining to laboratory testing.
