Please be advised that in our effort for
continuous quality improvement, we have
noted a recurring problem involving
physician's with the same last name, and
at times, the same specialty. To correct
this problem, we have posted a listing in
ail dictation areas, and forwarded to all
departments as well. When dictating,
particularly in cases where there is more
than one doctor with the same last name,
please be sure to indicate the physician's
complete name, both first and last name.
In these circumstances, it is also
advantageous to note the physician's
specialty and group name. We sincerely
appreciate your efforts in this regard.
IMPORTANT REMINDER:
With the spring and summer months
comes the addition of new
physicians/dentists to many groups. If
your group is adding a new member,
Medical Staff Services would appreciate
your assistance by requesting the
required application packet as soon as
possible. The credentialing process is
quite lengthy, and the verification process
takes approximately 5-6 weeks. As
always, your assistance is greatly
appreciated.
.Special thanks to all of our physicians who
assisted the Hospital during the foint
Commission survey in fanuary. You made
a very positive impression on the surveyors
by being available during interview sessions
and showing your support. The positive
outcome of our survey may, in part, be
contributed to you. Again, our sincere
thanks for all you do.
