Hospital kicks off new recycling program
Employees of The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital will save 1,836 trees
in the coming year, thanks to our recently expanded recycling program. The
hospital plans to recycle 9 tons of paper every month. Each ton of paper
recycled saves 17 trees.
In January, the organization kicked off the expanded program on the Moses
Cone Hospital campus. With the new program, employees will be able to recycle more paper, cardboard, aluminum and plastic. The overall recycling goal will
increase from approximately 8 tons per month to 14.5 tons per month.
Convenience is a key feature of the new recycling program, with more collection bins located throughout the hospital. Also, employees are now less likely to
