State Student Legislature
and Interclass Council
Two very important coordinations for much S.G.A.
work are State Student Legislature and Interclass
Council. S.S.L. members study the intricate details
of legislation so that when they attend the state convention they will have a bill ready to introduce.
This year, S.S.L. delegates presented a bill concerning the revision of the oath of office for student
government officials.
In Interclass Council we saw representatives from
each class, including the Nursing and Commercial
classes, unite to work on problems and projects which
pertain to all classes. This year the Council took
charge of the successful book sale. Each class sponsored its own projects to contribute to the Interclass
Council Scholarship Fund awarded yearly to an incoming freshman.
INTERCLASS COUNCIL: (top to bottom) Sue Medley,
Laura Frank Crawford, Sue Twigg, Cynthia Blythe, Katy
Law, Nancy Meacham, Mary Lou Smith, Caroline
Elliot, Janie Balpiano, Whitty Ransome, Penny Pratt,
Katie Olive, Townley Spratt, and Mary Ellen Butler.
