Description	This study was initiated by the North Carolina Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights as a result of conflicting assessments regarding the murder of five Communist Workers Party members at the Death to the Klan march, in Greensboro, North Carolina, on November 3, 1979. The report's findings and recommendation were based on information gathered in a field investigation which took place in early 1980. The bulk of the report contains statements from a wide range of Greensboro residents regarding their perceptions about race relations in Greensboro. In addition, the report gives an overview of Greensboro, a detailed analysis of the November 3 event, and recommendations for the citizens of Greensboro.
