Dear Sir:
Each year we set a date in our calendar on which we invite
representatives from various colleges to visit our campus and
interview seniors in reference to going to College. The experience has proved most valuable in the matter of helping
students to be able to make definite decisions as to what Colleges
they would like to attend.
On the visitation day the representative of each college is
assigned an office space in the building for the day. The seniors
are grouped into small groups and so scheduled that they can
move from one office to the next office and interview the various
representatives individually or in small groups. We have found
that this plan has much more to commend it th*n the old plan of
having the college representatives speak to the pupils in mass
assembly gatherings.
Our graduation classes comprise some 250 seniors. It will,
of course, take several hours for a representative to interview
this number of persons even in small group conferences. For
this reason we are scheduling the visitation over a two day span.
The dates are Thursday and Friday, January 28 and 29, 1960, from
8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. each day,
We shall be most happy to have you send a representative
from your college for these two days.
Please send us the name of your representative at once so
that we may include him or her m the local schedule that is to
be worked out. We shall also want to send your representative
certain data concerning individual seniors.
Please check the enclosed card and return immediately.
Very truly yours,
